Mensenbieb Hoogeveen 2005
On June 4th 2005, the Mensenbieb (People Library) was present at the Cascade Festival, a dance festival in Hoogeveen, Drenthe, The Netherlands.
Mensenbieb is a bus which stands on festivals in the province Drenthe, The Netherlands. The bus contains several people from different backgrounds who you can "lend", like books in a library. In this case, people can have a talk with these persons to get to know eachother and to enhance their knowledge about the other person. Stickers with texts like 'Blondes are stupid' and 'Old people are dangerous in cars' are handed out to get in discussion with people.
Mensenbieb gets a lot of attention from the media. During the event in Hoogeveen, two camera crews were present. These were of the tv programs Premtime (NPS) and 6pack of SBS6 Broadcasting B.V.
